    Hello,

what does the abbreviations stand for, and is this an original Erkennungsmarke of the Kriegsmarine (World War 1 or World War 2)?

    "N" (north sea ?)
    "11701" (personal number?)
    "40" (year of war entry?)
    "K" (gunner/kanonier/artillerie?)

At the backside is a number scratched ("327 641"); supposedly the POW-number.

    thanks a lot

    greetings
    Oliver
