    It's a strange blanc type. Maybe from a foreign country?

    I never liked them in the past, but after some authentic looking ground finds they appear to be real.

    It isn't a ekm made to official standard, perhaps a replacement. Have you measured the length of the 3 snap holes, they don't look the same length as normal.

    An exception for sure, would be interesting to locate others from the unit to see whether this is an isolated incident or part of a series.

    As per "the book" this is the regulations that were in place from 1932 onwards for the Heer/Luftwaffe & other paramilitary organisations:
