Ekm to the 14 kompanie, Third Bataillon of the Ers und Ausbildungs Rgt Hermann Goering. This was the heavy weapons company, using heavy mortars. The unit was not in East Prussia in 1945 but Eastern Germany on the Spree river. Maybe the owner was POW and marched East. It looks ok to me.

Hermann Göring Division erkennungsmarken are less common then a 'standard' Infanterie emarke and thus prices are higher.

Not so rare, but there are fakes of everything. The owner of this one was in the thick of the action right at the end.
