    Based on the low rollnumber I believe it is from Stammkompanie Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 475.

    Thank you very much. That could be correct. I couldn't find any info if they where ever in Norway. But I found 2 other tags from that unit

    Yes I found that site. With some translation I still couldn't figure out the Norway connection. But the finder said he also found some Russian game artefacts on the same spot. And the unit was in Russia if I'm not wrong. Interesting

    The unit in question is a replacement batallion wich provided replacement troops for several units. So the soldier wearing this Ekm could be send to a bunch of units, but he always kept the same Ekm giving to him when he joined the above mentioned batallion. It could well be he was transfered to a unit wich was stationed or deployed in Norway.
