And again to the discussion of the Kriegsmarine tag.
This tag is Ing.Offizier = Ingenieur-Offizier.
The material is zinc.

What will be the opinions on this tag?
Cords seem modern to me. But that's not a problem.

The impression of the snap line on the front and back of this zinc Ekm is as expected. The alloy, gilt washed KM Erkennungsmarken are found with the visible snap line on the front face only. Sadly Otto Decker is a very common name and I've not found a record of him among the KM database. The VDK list many so named casualties.

It is a pity that there is no exact information about Otto Decker.

It looks ok to me, but it would require further research. I'm surprised there appears no mention of this Otto Decker in KM records so far. Where it came from also may affect whether it is original or not.
