I think the abbreviation of Leith on the second Erkennungsmarke stands for Leithorst = controlling air base (major – full services).

Oh ok i see you mean yes i think you are right on with that... What does the Lg3 on tag number one mean though???? Is it also a location... Maybe luftgau???? I really still dont get that.

Why do you think it is connected to Lübeck?
Although the "z" is far to the right, Leithorst Liegnitz seems obvious to me.

My mistake Austrian, I didn't look at the ekm closely enough and was thinking of another similar example I had seen.
