Here are 2 Luftwaffe Ekms i do know nothing about... Tried to find a unit not too sucessful... Maybe somebody knows the correct translation and can find the units????

1. I bought this one: Luft Nachrichten Funk ersatz kompanie motorisiert 18 /i Lg3

2. A friend of mine bought that one: Luft Nachrichten Kompanie motorisiert leith...? Lieg (possibly Liegnitz?)

I think the abbreviation of Leith on the second Erkennungsmarke stands for Leithorst = controlling air base (major – full services).

Yes Leith is an abbraviation of the location of the airfield at Leithorst.

Oh ok i see you mean yes i think you are right on with that... What does the Lg3 on tag number one mean though???? Is it also a location... Maybe luftgau???? I really still dont get that.

Yes Leith is an abbraviation of the location of the airfield at Leithorst, Lübeck, Blankensee.

Why do you think it is connected to Lübeck?

Although the "z" is far to the right, Leithorst Liegnitz seems obvious to me.

My mistake Austrian, I didn't look at the ekm closely enough and was thinking of another similar example I had seen.
