I believe this to be an "Ortskommandantur" disk Unit number 586 II batallion(?) Does anyone know exactly what these units were responsible for? I have read translations that vary from town command to town military police chief.

The emarke is from Ortskommandantur 586 wich was raised on 2 August 1939.

Nice ekm Eike41! I'm guessing that it would refer to Ortkommandantur II 586, which would look after smaller hamlets in their area. Ortkommandantur I 586 being for the major town under its protection.
