This unit was formed in Feb 1942 to provide reinforcements for the Security groups , reception of the troops returning from leave or from being wounded and was formed in Narva with the Staff and Ambulance being situated in the famous Hermannsburg fortress.
In late October 1942 it was merged into the Ost Ers Btl Estn Narva when the security groups were replaced by the Estonian Ost Battalions , most of the men went on to be involved in the heavy Narva Front fighting in 1944.

on back tag have daleted stamps estnische sicherung gruppe 11/183.is ground dug with tags estnische sicherung gruppe and ss estnische legion
from this lot is this halve too from est .sich gr. 9/183

Interesting how when it became the Ost Ers Btl Estn Narva the spelling of Narva was done the German way ...... Narwa !!

in german language only one is corect - narwa
narva is in eesti
generally its not problem . on more german tags are mistakes. i have orginal ss tags the same unit with div. and diw. from shortcut division.
