Due to the amount of horses used by the Wehrmacht, Vet units were vital. Unit info:
Die Abteilung wurde 1941 in Trier, im Wehrkreis XII, aufgestellt. Die Abteilung unterstand direkt dem Korpsveterinär vom Wehrkreis XII. Im Jahr 1943 wurde die Abteilung zur Veterinär-Ersatz- und Ausbildungs-Abteilung 12 umbenannt.
