Looks like an original one. Somebody once informed my that these "5./ FAB Wiking" Erkennungsmarke are unissued stock though. Maybe someone more experienced can help you out with this?

Thanks for all the replies guys. I am glad to read that the disc is probably an original one.

Jan: The disc you probably are referring to are those that are found in a hoard. These were from the 4/ F.A.Btl. SS Pz Gren Div Nordland, and not the 5. F.A.Btl. Wiking. You can find it in de following link: SS Nordland ID disc, real or fake?

Thanks for the great replies guys! I am reassured that the disc is a real one ! Do you perhaps also know if it is possible to find out who was the soldier it belonged to?
