Does anyone know what sleeve badges were worn? I believe there was a shield badge in blue and chevrons in Estonian colours, not too sure if both worn at same time or when introduced or even their significance,Dave.

A bit offtopic, but yet informative and interestind piece of work:
(1936 to 1944) Estonian Army Uniforms and Insignia
Sakala and Kuperianov partisans used the patches for sure, as the others like the Armored Trains used the cuffbands with the names of the train.
The link above is mostly translated book in Estonian language about the uniforms made in 1939 year, and mostly contains different orders. But I would agree that is better than nothing. Unfortunately we do not have such a big specialist of Estonian uniforms in Estonia, exclude the Urmas Pulk, who has a great collection and now sold it to the museum, but as I can see how the museum was set-up WW2 German exposition with the mannequins in the Coca-cola plaza cinema, at least there was absolutely absurde mix of uniforms ( Infantry officers cap with officers TSD tunic , with SS soldiers belt and buckle)
Another way that museums still have a Soviet menthality, and their are absolutely closed for the work, as some of the serious books publishers ask me to help with that- I got not the responce from museum workers, even after they said that they do not allow to make a pictures, but that was a great chance for making a promotion
