Great Photos, hope you keep it going.
I notice more camo pants, then tunics, must be the Friendly Fire fear.
Thanks everyone for the information!
I remember a Wehrmacht Veteran telling me how his group was captured by Russians wearing SS Camo Smocks, waving their arms beckoning them to come over to their position...He said they were completely fooled until told to put their "Haende Hoch!" lol...
I attended German Schools until the 8th Grade, and this particular Veteran was the Bus-Driver during one of our School-Trips ... I sat up front and talked to him about the war through the entire trip, lol....
cheers, Glenn

I believe that this image is of a Yugoslavian soldier. Pocket flaps are sharply scalloped and note the rectangle reinforcement above them. Also the shoulder-boards do not seem to be of any German type I have ever seen.
Cheers,

Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!
I recall a very grainy photograph in the Central Museum in Moscow, which shows a group of Razvedchiki on the steps of the Reichstag, fully kitted in waffen-ss M44 erbsentarn jackets and trousers (with PPSh-41s, I think).
The story goes that these were an advanced unit that stormed into the building, under the very noses of the German defenders (who assumed they were ss troops), to do as much damage as they could from the inside, to coincide with the main Red Army assault!
I just wish I had been able to get a sneaky photograph of it..!
