it's a old canadian wool from the Antanta stocks, stored in Murmansk and Arkhangelsk after WW1. The WW2 lend lease wool is more brown. But anyway it's known as lend lease wool.

Thanks for your replies!
I acquired a mannequin and took Ivan out for some photos today. The display is not finished yet, I'm still looking for some things, like a TT33 holster.
Your opnions are very welcome.
BTW, the colour on the board's center stripe is?
From the images, it appears to be a dark red, along with edgings that are more of a crimson than usual - which signifies a non-combatant - I.E. Supply.
Therefore, golden stars are in order. It could just be the light or my monitor though...
Infantry combatant should like this - with a lighter edging, red centre stripe and silvered stars:
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!
Nice uniform Bruno! And a very realistic looking mannequin.
Richie, I'm afraid your observations are correct...The center stripe is indeed dark red. Bummer for me, I thought these would be correct for Infantry. Well, I'll look further for a correct pair then...(and they seem so hard to find...)
Authentic examples are indeed becoming hard to find, Bjorn.
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!
