Thanks for the welcome Richie. I used to collect U.S. uniforms, weapons, and field gear of WWI and WWII once upon a time. My posting was just a hunch, merely a possibility to be considered. All y'all know so much more about the subject of RKKA uniforms, gear, etc. than I do.
My interest now lies in taking my RKKA reenacting and living history impression as far as I can within my means and knowledge. It is an impression, at least on my side of the pond, that has for too long been a stepchild in the field of historic interpretation.
All of you and your postings have really expanded my knowledge a great deal.

I am unable to remember if I have ever brought this up here, if so, I have an addendum...
In this photo from my collection, this man is wearing a small sewing shop/homespun M43 made from what seems to be US HBT.
A colleague in Riga has come up with a pilotka in what seems the same.
Any of you all seen anything like either?
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!
It is indeed US HBT cloth.
Here is a well known colour photo of a female soldier wearing a HBT Gym at the US - Soviet link up at Torgau.
Cheers, Ade.

Thanks Philippe, I have merged the two threads in one now. I had forgotten about it too. I even mentioned the famle soldier in the first thread... Mine and Richie's advanced years are to blame
Cheers, Ade.
