Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
I know reparations pogony may exist, but I think it is interesting to know if they have any special features, provided I've never seen examples with german markings.
For instance,
Reparations caps are easy to spot, not only because they are stamped by German manufacturers, but also because they have distinctive industrial manufacturing techniques (the type of peak, the lining...).
I have seen breeches with 50's dates which have the same construction techniques and materials in the lining than early NVA ones (and very different from their soviet counterparts).
Buttons usually have german markings and very different backings than soviet ones.
My point in the end is, do these pogony have any distinct features from soviet ones other than materials and a certain refinement in construction? Do they resemble in construction to WW2 german schulterklappen ( I am no expert on german militaria)? This will be more telling.
Regards
One thing is for certain; many reparation made service/parade shoulder-boards for officers retain the pentagonal shape well into the 1950s despite the regulation change in 1946.

Thanks Richie
the braided edgings are similar .
I've see that type of material & construction, but do not have any images.
