1914 Eisernes Kreuz, Zweite Klasse. Marked ‘Wilm’. Original?

Hello everyone! I have been looking at this Eisernes Kreuz/Iron Cross II Class from 1914, and it looks genuine, but I want to be certain before continuing to buy it. It is marked as Wilm, but I cannot find similar EK2’s which have been marked as Wilm. What does everyone think?





The seller has stated it is made of 3 parts, and is magnetic. Also allows returns within 2 weeks.

The frame looks like it's been cleaned but I can't see anything wrong with it. There are quite a few posted on the forum, take some time to compare the frames and cores on those here and see if you can find a match.

I found it. It seems that according to a post on GMIC, Wilm had 2 variants of iron core.

It's a perfectly fine cross. The frame has been cleaned but not overly so.
I would have no problem adding this cross to my own collection.

--and yes, Wilm marked crosses can be found with different cores.
I have pictures of at least 4 different cores in my files.
