Good afternoon everybody. After a long time searching, I have finally acquired an Iron Cross II for non-combatants. It is not maker marked, so if anybody is able to identify the maker, I would be grateful.

Hi Andy,
Congratulations on finally finding a non-com Ek2.
I went through my database and I can not find a 100% match. The core
is one that is used by a few different makers and the frame has enough wear
that I can not match the corners. However it has a very Wagner-ish look to it.
The ribbon looks really clean, have you done a black light test on it or a burn test?

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
Very nice.
Sorry I couldn't nail down a maker.

I thought maybe the fact that the suspension ring was only soldered on one side would have helped with the frame identification. Thanks for looking
The open ring is very reminiscent of the 1870 type A frames generally
associated with Godet and Wagner. Godet cores are much different than these
and Wagner did use one similar (among others). Like I said , it is very Wagner-ish
but I can not say for sure.

A very nice looking cross there Andy, and congrats on adding a Non-com EK to your collection.

Nice crosses, and hard these days to find genuine NK ribbon.
