Fröhe Ostern Imperials!
Hi Toot. One year late this is the answer to your question:
German soldiers certainly celebrated Easter. It is a very traditional holiday in Germany.
After 1914, sporadic attempts at seasonal truces were made, a German unit attempted to leave their trenches under a flag of truce on Easter Sunday 1915, but were warned by the British in front of them
Happy Easter Santi.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday.

thank you for the late reply. and the answer to my question. you did not for get me! I figured that you either did not receive it or forgot? so the EASTER TRUCE was sort of like the XMAS TRUCE that did happen in the trenches? but not this time? so there were CATHOLIC'S, in an ATHEIEST society?
SNTI, the EASTER postcard, is a rare one, and the only one that I have ever seen. any more of them? and you & your family have a HAPPY EASTER! toot.
