Very nice Martin. Great find. The first word is Lauenburg. They just abbreviated the word.

It is a very nice, private purchase dress sword, it is not an issue piece.
It is marked to the Lauenburgisches Feld-Artillerie-Regiment Nr.45, garrisoned in Altona/Rendsburg and at the beginning of the First World War the 45th was assigned to the IX Armee Korps. It was in the 18th Feld-Artillerie-Brigade which was assigned to the 18th Infanterie-Division. The IX Armee-Korps, was assigned to the 1st Armee.
Lauenburgisches Feld-Artillerie-Regiment Nr.45 fought with IX Korps through the end of the War in 1918.

Nice looking sword.
It would display well with my pickelhaube which belonged to
the 25th Inf. Regiment / IX Armee Korps.
