    Thanks for chiming in. I can see what you are saying about the “gold” raised areas. These areas especially around Gold Frames (ridges) and the Gold medals seem to be an “ever so slightly” little bumps or raised area. Also the buttons.
    But it sounds like good news about the lid construction, lithophane and the handle.
    I only own a few of these and received some basic education from those with many years of experience. So I know enough to spot the easy / moderate fakes.

    That said, it looks good to me.

    The best characteristics to test reservist steins are always the names. The steins were prefabricated and given the appropriate names to order. That is why the names of real steins are always written by hand. They are usually printed on fakes.
