I could use some help with this Stahlhelmet :)

Article about: Hi guys, I recently found a seller who is willing to sell me a WW1 Stahlhelm. I was curious for your opinions on it because to me it does look very nice. Any info and/or input is appreciated

    Again it may just be the lighting or photo quality, but to me it appears that the finish is original, just really cleaned up. My big issue is with the leather it just doesn't look correct to me.

    It is not up for sale anymore, but people were able to bid on it. I think it would have sold for around 350 US dollars.

    I appreciate the insight! I think it does sometimes happen that the leather is preserved nicely, but I agree with you that when a helmet is over a 100 years old, you do need to be cautious with examples like this.
