I recently added this nice original example to my collection.
I have found myself reading more about the Freikorps, and pre WW II Germany lately.
I have liked the appearance of this badge for some time, but didn't feel comfortable investing one, up until this one came along.

    Very nice Ralph.
These really are a cool looking badge. I also have looked at adding one to
the collection but all of the fakes scare me away.

    Thanks Greg!
I was cautious as well, but this one came from Don D.

No issues with this one Ralph! Looks just like mine.

Almost all of these Falkenburg examples are US Vet Bringbacks and unissued. Story goes is that they were found by the vets during post war occupation of Coblenz. Often brought back in tied bundles of I think 10 or 20 to a pack.

    Congrats!

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

This example came from Don D, the fellow that started the reference thread I posted a link to.

I got my PLM from Don. Class act. Nice guy. I didn't see the link but I have read through it many times when researching my badge.

    Congrats again.

If it came from Don then it's completely legit.--no worries.
I have known Don (on line) for 20 years and he is a complete stand-up guy.

I agree, I bought the CD EK I from him as well as a few other things over the years.
I have no problem dealing with him.
The thread he started, and I linked to, in my first post is very good at describing the differences between real, and fake.
