Article about: Found this recently in a local antique store, made out to Kanonier Alois Lochner of the Bavarian 3rd Field Artillery, dated 1901 and in near mint condition. The watermark in the bottom is of

    I only have a couple of these so no pro, but there are some tell tail signs. Namely the inner part of the handle as well as the lack of panel seams on the pewter.

    As texas pointed out which I agree; any nudity is reproduction. It was forbidden.

    I don't feel it was forbidden; just frowned upon.

    Since so, it was less salable so not produced.

    Thanks for the tips. There is actually no nudity in the watermark.
