Is an Austrohungarian soldier.
Franz Schagerl was a soldier of the k.u.k. Feldhaubitzenregiment Nr.8, Batterie Nr.4 and lived in Reinsberg, Bezirk Scheibbs, Niederösterreich.
The regiment bore the name "Kaiser"
Feldhaubitzregiment "Kaiser" Nr. 8
As far as I know, much more soldiers of the k.u.k. Army perished from avalanches and other extreme alpine situations than from enemy fire.
