This month, a “Gerasser” marked Austrian M1917 Sturmmesser with a 214mm long blade. I never could track down the Gerasser company in order to share its history and hope one of this thread’s viewers can share what they know about this company on a subsequent post.

IMHO it´s the company C.GRASSER ( CARL GRASSER ).

Very interesting, the trench knife is "stored" in a bayonet frog.
I guess, the fragile belt hanger of the "Sturmmesser" was broken, so ...

There´re also images showin´ the "Kuk Kampfmesser Modell 1917", aka "Sturmmesser", carried in the sheath of the bayonet M1890, and/or the bayonet M1886/1888
