Following some further research, basically backtracking through the edition in which he is mentioned in dispatches I found out it was for actions that were part of the, EUPHRATES OPERATIONS, 26th JUNE T0 25TH JULY, 1915.
A full account of all the actions that occurred during that period and from slightly before and after and all those who were MID can be found in the link below. Still no idea what he was MID for or for his MC either yet, but hopefully one day.
