Default Canadian 1905 Pattern OR Dress Service Cap

I picked up this cap today that I’ve been told was issued to a Canadian soldier who volunteered for service in 1915. I’m not very knowledgeable about these caps but, to my eye, this cap looks like it could date to 1914-15. Would you agree? Unfortunately, while I can make out a C broadarrow, there is no visible maker’s mark or date, which of course would have helped with dating.

It appears to be the Type 1 Service Dress cap as used during WW1, across the British Commonwealth forces. This type was made into the 1930's. Can't help with dating your example.
