Default my 2 bluecloths up for sale soon

    Hi all!

i'm new to this forum and a couple of others and was hopeing for some advice before i sell a few bluecloths and pickelhaubes, long story short i was left a military collection a few years back when my father passed away but was left no details regarding values etc and the only knowledge i have got is what my father told me which isn't much. unfortunatley now i have to sell some items to raise cash very soon so i'm hopeing i can get the right info or even find some buyers. so here's my 2 blue cloths which are both in lovely condition and have nice looking liners, hope you like!

    both are Victorian officers helmets.
The first one is a medical corps, the second one I don't realy know.
    Are there makers labels inside?

Could you teel us what it says on the plate of the second helmet.
Also the letters in the center; I think it can be Qeen Mary's Surrey Yeomanry.

Hi Nicholas, welcome to the forum. These are completely outside of my collecting experience so I cannot offer any advice.

But please show your German helmets in our WW1 section of the forum.

    Cheers, Ade.

    REG ASPARA TERRENT??
First 3 letters appears like NEC to me ...
    and
Nec Aspera Terrent means ;''Difficulties be damned'' and is the motto of
The Prince of Wale's own Regiment of Yorkshire, but the badge doesn't correspond!!??

That ...I don't know anything about it!
Also the makers of the helmets do not ring a bell ...to me! But they are of a fine quality, don't wurry.
Thise is as far as I can help you.
To know what they are worth you will have to look at auction results, I could tell you what they where worth in the 80 'ties, but do not know for now!
