tom
got a bit of leave and i decided to visit a memorial i had heard about in slaithwaite (turns out Norris Crossley is on their as well)
also to go with my display when complete i was going to make a plaque so any ideas would be brilliant it will probably be made of wood and will encorporate a picture of Norris in full uniform.
thanks to ade finding his medal card ive got my grandad hunting for his medals (fingers crossed we find them which will also go on the plaque when found)
tom
ps i shall keep this thread going as i get all the bits and bobs
a big thanks to everyone who has helped
Hi Tom, that is great.
A plaque from wood is good. You could get a metal plate to add to it engraved with his name, rank, number etc. I had one made at a trophy company in order to dedicate a part from a VC's winners plane. Only cost a few quid.
Cheers, Ade.

thanks
tom
ps cheers ade for the title change
Hi Tom, no good, those are more modern in style worn on the No.2 service dress uniform. While the basic design did not change the materials did.
Cheers, Ade.

i can see the hardest part to find is probably going to be the stripes and the patch for the eppaulets
thanks
tom
Hi Tom, the stripes should not be too problematic to find, as they do come up for sale from time to time.
Cheers, Ade.

Hi,
I know this is an old post, but I just came across it. How did you get on with recreating the uniform? You can find some pictures of my grandad who was a sergeant in the same regiment at Herbert Blonk Keeling.
I've got his medals and badges/buttons etc.
Let me know if you need any more info etc.
Ady
