Did your grand pa spend time in Congo?
Most are commoun WWI medals.
Exept the second one from the right, that is the rarest one.
It's the Yser Kruis! Any chance to see the flip side?
Just under that medal is a local medal, would be great to see the back of that one as well.

Are we missing a photo...
Sure!
What are they worth? I'm never going to sell them but I'm curious.
Like I said a local medal given by the city of LiƩge.
All medals can be baught for 10 to 20 euro, the Yzer kruis medal with thise ribbon; more like 100 euro, with a Flemish ribbon way over the 100 euro.

Nice medals. Coming from a family member makes them priceless.
Looking for the photo albums of Leutnant Emil Freitag, 3. / G.R. 377
These medals and papers were found in forest in some rusty tins. What can you guys tell me about these?
Those medals are civil and labor medals.
Pitty about the "Vuurkaart" and the other document as well !
The name and a short history of the "vuurkaart" owner can be found on

And here is a link for Belgian medals;

I have added all the pics to this thread onto the forum's server. Please do not use outside hosting sites. That was why some people could not see them. Thanks.
Cheers, Ade.
