We have an expression for that, But I'll stick to the subject.
One thing I am noticing when I expand the images of what James is holding.
There is a line going around the circumference of the projectile about 1/3 of the way down from the top.
It almost makes it look like a 2 piece projectile. Is It?
I am seeing this on the French 155mm projectile, But not on the German 15cm version,
Then again I am only finding relic condition projectiles for that time frame.
