Odd Tunic. Could use some help!
Article about: Heya, folks! Haven't been on in some time and my first post in a while is yet another question (sorry about that!) Some fellow in France is selling this as a WWI Infantry Tunic. I've done so

I think it's French and may well be WW1 I'm not an expert but the buttons matches up with my WW2 version ex tunic.

On the collar could be - judging from what i see, the same flaming grenades as on the buttons.

It appears to be a pre/early war jacket. If so it I don't believe it is infantry. Infantry should have a red patch on each side of the collar with the regimental identification in blue, as well as each cuff should have a red vertical panel with 3 buttons. Maybe artillery?

It’s not military.. fire department or postal, perhaps?
Both often punted as military.
