This is my latest bayonet purchase .
Its very nice with a W.J. Hill Birmingham scabbard .
Date 1916 , has 3 BSA inspection stamps and a later Enfield either 26 or 28.
Cheers Rick

Nice bayonet Rick, Mole being one of the less common ones. Looks like a refurbishment or repair in 1928, to my eye.
I'm surprised that Mole didn't make a lot of these considering their occupation.

Point of note.
It seems to have have had stampings on both sides of the wooden grips.
They are really worn , but see photos and you can make out a crown in one side.
Which is strange as if it was refurbished and re issued in the late 1920's one would think they would have put new grips on it?

Looks like a standard British inspectors mark on the grip. My guess is the grips have been replaced post referb, their condition doesn't match the rest of the bayonet and the grip screws have wear from being turned. Rest of the bayonet looks in really good nick, wouldn't be hard to find some NOS grips and screws if their condition bothers you.
