    Hello Folks -

Been a long time, but a lot of not so nice things have happened for a while. Trying to get back into the fold....

I can't find a reference to this marking. Appears to be 1/1 K.R.E.

I've posted on some very knowledgeable sites, mainly British, and no one can match it up to a Brit Regimental. The slash is seen on Weimar equipment, but it would be a longshot.

    Any thoughts appreciated!

    Thanks!

It's a British Pattern 1903 bayonet, made January 1906. It has a Enfield RSAF inspection mark. The 1/1 K.R.E. is a unit mark, but a new one for me. I could suggest Indian Imperial service (Kashmir Railway Engineers?) or could it be "Kings Royal Engineers"? But nothing Germanic here.

Thanks Anderson! Yes, that was pretty much the thought from the other forums. Just thought I would go fishing a bit to see if anyone else may have encountered this regimental.
