It is one of the minefields of this hobby yes. I am just suprised that the person behind the website WW2 Original german militaria nazi ss panzer totenkopf items for sale has the balls to have a whole website dedicated to selling fake nonsense and gets away with it.
My favorite Items on that site are the 1936 Olympics trophy and the Hitler youth armband attic find that has the same fresh mud on it as the NSDAP armband attic find with mud on it BWWAHAHAAHA!
I love the Nazi ripped LW "officers" visor for only $195.00.It says good for a display, who would display this piece of s@#t, it looks like it was pulled out of a septic tank !
Isn't this one just a french civilian tc-38 gas mask? He says it's a Polish German invasion of Poland gas mask set.
I also love the mud soaked "attic finds".
