Can't vouch for it, but his is currently for sale on Regimentals:
This cap should not be confused with the multitude of reproductions of this style of cap that are available on the collectors market, this is 150% original, our interpretation is that it has been ordered through a regimental or depot tailor, it has been constructed from a slightly heavier weight of camouflage material than the standard zeltbahns, before construction the interior of the side curtains have been stitched lined with a period field grey cloth, although we are unable to inspect the material between the two layers of camouflage material we suspect that there is a padded section between the two layers of the identical cloth in field grey. There is an official size stamp of ‘55’ stamped into the crown. There is one L shaped torn repair to the left hand side of the cap as the cap is viewed. The fibre board that is used for the peak is cracked in one place underneath the camouflage material. Fitted to the cap is the one-piece Bevo grey on green triangular form insignia with a metallic Jager badge stitched to the side of the cap, a clear impression of where the badge has lain for many years is impressed into the material. There is a clear colour difference between the areas of the camouflage material hidden by the side curtains and the areas which have been exposed to light and use during WWII. To the interior the sweat staining around the forehead and the lower part of the cap has stiffened into a form of Shellac, one of our tests on M.43 caps of any arm of the service is to invert the cap onto its crown and take note of whether the cap collapses on itself or not, if it does not collapse and holds its form that is further evidence of its total originality, although in this case it can be clearly seen from the wear use of its antecedence. A magnificent piece.
