Yet another early black cap, with the new Totenkopf and the old Hoheitszeichen.

its interior....
incredible !!!! bravo
thank you. A clearer view of same. It is a very handsome hat, of early make and in exceptional preservation. Notice the brightness of the piping as well as the woolen cap cover and band. I never use the word textbook, but this cap is a handsome example of an early cap, where one plainly sees the addition of the 1933/4 Totenkopf, which likely is more rare than I think, since I have never busted it off the cap to look at the code or mark on the back. It remains a mystery, which is just fine with me.
Choice, early piece--love that wool.
Another cap of similar vintage with the earlier totenkopf badge.

Thanks. We are glad to see your treasures, especially with the leather peak.
Enclosed is a relative.....
Here is what such a cap looked like on the head of a future mass murderer, Wihelm Kube, at the time this image was made in 1934 at some function in Potsdam. He was infamous for his rule in Weissrussland. Where is this cap now?
Really awesome cap and in excellent shape. The picture of Kube really puts what we collect into context.
Here is another image of Kube....and his chums in what the Bundesarchiv tells us is March 1934. One notices how the big man in Prussia here in the center (Goering) has begun the escalation of cap crowns, when contrasted to the SS caps and those of the party.
