Luftwaffe Pith Helmut - Opinions?
Hello All!
Trawling through a dealer website, I saw this nice condition Luftwaffe pith helmet. It looks good to me, and similar to other authentic pith helmets on this site. Especially the eagle and shield look good to me based on what research I have done. However, I would like some secondary opinions please. As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Looks a good original early trophelm I like the insignia too. Has someone gone over the makers stamp with a felt tip? Regards Paul

No problem with this one. A few knocks and dents, but life in the desert wasn’t easy!
Great overall character and nice to see the original chinstrap is still there.

I got it in hand yesterday, and I cannot tell for sure if the ink stamp just bled into the material or if someone went over it with a felt pen.

Very nice find, I got my self couples of months ago a First Pattern Heer Pith helmet as well but my one looks like a tank drove over it, and I'm missing the shield flag decal sadly but considering they are made from cork they are fragile as hell, anyway a lovely helmet
I am also a fan of the tropical Luftwaffe sun helmets, this is my early example by C. Pose of Berlin...

Forgot to add the maker stamp...
Here is a later RB numbered green example...
Another early tan one that I acquired locally, which has had the sweat band replaced for some reason,
but it would have wound up in a skip bin more than likely, so I had to give it a home....
(price was very low).
