My new lufwaffe Signals cap: Marke Standard Extra Klasse
I think there are not a lot of collectors among us that do not fall for the looks of a marke standard visor cap. Unfortunatly most of the time cheap ersatz material was used to compose the sweatband (in contrast to the high end quality for the other components). Sometimes they appear with leader sweatbands , I was Lucky enough to find one of them at a reasonable priceenjoy!
VB--congrats on your refined taste in headgear. IMO, JC Kornacker made the best caps in terms of aesthetic shape, and are one of the true unsung TR makers.
(PS--it is very uncommon to find leather sweatbands on them).

This was a Kornacker officer that I once owned--it had a killer swept-back shape, and the eagle was machine-sewn on (and not thru the lining).
However, it did have the ersatz sweatband (and a black underside)

If anyone is interested, the visor is currently for sale. I'm asking 650 euro. (I would normally post this at the classifieds but it isn't working for some reason)
I always liked the tan undersides to these--so much more aesthetically pleasing than green.
