Odd insignia’s Pairing on a Schutzmütze.

Not familiar with this insignia’s set up on a Schutzmütze. There are no visible tags or manufacturing labels to be found. No crash helmet liner either, but the brim does appear to be cotton. Any ideas of what this pairing of insignia designates would be greatly appreciated?

Is this a Beret? A "Schutzmütze" is a piece of Protective Headgear...My first impression is that it's for a female Reichspost or Reichsbahn Employee...Tram Operator, Bus Driver... I'll gladly stand corrected!

My initial assumption was this was the cover that fit over the crash (protective) helmet, but alas, you may be on far better ground with your impression.

Insignia set-up is for Postal, but I believe it to be postwar West German Panzer beret.
