I just received this smart looking Reichsbahn cap in the mail today.

During times of economic shortage I find myself gravitating towards the less exotic and more affordable headgear.

For not much money I could fill the need to collect with a nice authentic item without wrecking my budget.

I also got this nicely beat up Feuerloschpolizei visor by Alfred Valet,

Both caps together for under $500

Very nice Al. You could add a Lionel pre war engine to the side cap for a great display.

I have often thought about going into the railroad collecting. Some great caps, tunics lanterns and other items.

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Tim, they'll have to do as I pine for a nice SS visor.

I remember as a kid the local drugstore had a large scale custom painted Lionel train set in Wehrmacht colors with the Baltic cross complete with German soldiers and Artillery guns. I used to daydream about having one of those.

Oh that would be a nice train set. Maybe I need one of those.
