I cannot speak for everyone, but I like addresses.
This would be difficult to do, but a list by both the RZM # in consective order and a cross-list in alphabetical order would be even better.
The RZM handbook entries for A1 and A2 are more or less organized via an alphabetical list of towns, Aachen, Berlin, Xanten and so forth. However, our colleague Wim Saris knows the material best.
In any case, such a compendium is a more breath taking proposition as you can see the to and fro from being a cap factory to an artisan enterprise.
    Detail and context and everything.

However, the sample entry included above with the chronological piece impresses me and is useful.

Mützenband does not have to do with the leather sweat cap band, which in
German is phrased as Schweissleder. Mützenband, also known as Bundstreifen,
is the cap band as for the DAF, the ribbed band with the motif or the band as
used for the naval SA visored cap. Until 1935 these manufacturers had the code
MB and a number. This was in 1935 changed into A5 - Mützenbandhersteller
with the number they used before.
Many thanks for this, my lack of German language skills have let me down once again. In fairness, I think FB had set me straight about this before but I had forgotten.

No problem BenVK. We all can make mistakes and do forget things.
Especially when getting older you will loose a lot of "bites in the brain",
as I do. Maybe I will consider with the planned list, also to bring a list
with the A5 manufacturers and will ask Bender if we also can include
the earlier used A4-numbers for insignia manufacturers, which I have
included in my HJ handbook. Many collectors do not own that book,
due to the fact they do not collect HJ!

I think a few more will be buying it now! myself included

Mr.Saris is also doing a sterling job on the HJ forum for those who are interested.

HJ always has been my favorite subject and surely when I still did collect.
But collecting TR stuff is long gone (over 25 years)!

Join the HJ forum, as this is a great forum with lots of excellent threads
and posts about the HJ-subjects and matters!

    Hello BenVK,

I did some checking about leather chin-straps, sweath bands etc. and
    with result!

In 1938 there did appear an RZM-category L 10, known as Mützenzutaten,
so materials used for the manufacturing of caps. Amongst them were
mentioned: Mützenschirme, Mützenriemen, Schweissleder. So being
the visors, chin-straps and sweatband. The note I found gives no
numbers for manufacturers and I even do not know if this L 10 structure was
ever carried out. But it was said these concerns were allowed do deliver the
    stuff to A1 and A2 headgear-manufacturers.
The concerns were also allowed to deliver to the categories G1 or G 10, the
wholesale trade. G1 was for the wholesale trade of uniforms, equipment and
insignia and G 10 was for the trade for caps, cap parts and cap insignia. The
    abbreviation G means Grosshandel.

When the L 10-category actually came into being I haven't found yet! I think
it was not earlier then spring 1938.

Thanks Carl. It will be just a booklet about RZM codes for A1 and A2 (as I told before).
Maybe I will include also the A5 list, but the A4 (which I already included in my
    HJ-handbook) as well.

    Very interesting indeed!!

I do so hope this information will be included in the booklet as this is the kind of detail I'm personally interested in and I'm sure FB and Chris and countless others also.
