Hi, all! I just picked up this snazzy new visor I'd like to share. It's a very nice Schellenberg that appears unworn, and is in wonderful condition.

This one has black piping for a Pioneer officer, and a nicely embroidered eagle and wreath.

As far of my knowledge of Schellenberg caps go (and that's not very far) I believe some of the features on this cap, such as the all-black visor and the light-tan sweatband, combined with the rougher grade of wool, would probably date this as a late war (1944-45) cap. Someone with more knowledge please correct me if I'm wrong.

I bought this one to go with a late-war Pioneer officer feldbluse - photos of the full mannequin to be posted soon.

    Thanks for having a look!

DF, nice score--you are correct on the era of the cap, but even then, the quality stands out--congrats....

Thank you! I've only handled a few of these Schellenberg caps, but even the late-war examples are often high quality. Schelly really did produce a quality cap all the way until the end!

Thanks, Bill! I've always liked Pionier caps and tunics - black piping makes any uniform look cool.

Thanks for having a look, Todd. I've been looking for a "true" officer's visor, complete with embroidery, to go with a late war tunic for the longest time. This matches the look and condition of the field blouse perfectly, so I'm excited to finally put the mannequin together!
