Second pattern pith

    Evening guys, I just got this 2nd pattern Heer pith, it looks ok to me but my only concern are the two adler stamps in the top of the helmet. I did a lot of looking into old posts but I didn't see any 2nds with these stamps. The only stamps on the s/b are shown below, there is no "Made in Germany" stamp. All opinions welcome, thank you.

    Looks like a good 2nd pattern felt Pith Helmet, someone post-war has added the bogus eagle stamps to the inside though....

    Thanks Bob, that's what I thought but I just wanted to make sure, I'll be sending it back, I don't like headgear that was messed with.

    If the price was right for the pith helmet, you could probably get the ink from the silly stamps cleaned off, pith is still a good one....

    I decided to keep the pith and I got the ink off with Amodex ink remover and it doesn't glow under black light.
