    Maybe a Reichsbahn employee who was also a veteran. Maybe liked NSRKB visor better so he put this eagle on it. Hard to say. If there are no other holes and patina matches I would leave it. It's period original.

    Yeah I wish I knew the story, seems to have one! I agree it's period. I plan on leaving it alone I just really liked the look of it and I like the veterans headgear and uniforms. If anything you have to give it to the Germans, they really tried to acknowledge their vets.
