This very cap has already been discussed somewhere here on the forum - as you are a paying member you can have a look in the authentic visor section. The search function doesn't work (at least for me) at the moment, so I can`t find the thread.

Hat is good, cannot comment on the insignia
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”

I like the hat a lot. The non-metallic chin cords and "fuzzy" velvet band are just what you would expect in a later-war cap!

Indeed I tried searching, resulting in nothing. If this cap is already discussed, please close this topic, but please provide me the link to the thread.

Managed to find the thread:
SS Cap ... Need Help
It was not really discussed, but THE expert - F.-B. - said, it was original - no discussion necessary!

Thank you. That post is from a while ago, but it's the same cap indeed. It's on the market again apparently. My post does contain more pictures, so maybe don't delete it, but the verdict is clear.

As this place is used for research and reference, we don't just delete threads on a whim.
It can stay.

The velvet on these late-war Kleiderkasse visors rarely holds up to extended wear (but is also a good sign of originality).
