Visor hat Waffenfarben differences - an attempt.

My newly arrived Nebeltruppen visor prompted this.

I knew this would be difficult without taking outdoor photos. But damn! Differences that are obvious to the naked eye in person become less distinct in a photo taken under artificial lighting.

Nonetheless, I hope I captured something worth posting.

On the left is Hochrot - bright red, Artillerie. Middle is Bordeauxrot - burgundy or wine red, Nebeltruppen. Right is Rosa - pink, Panzer/Panzerabwehr. Perhaps in another photo I can throw in a Karmesinrot veterinary piped cap, for added fun and confusion.

Nice comparison. Agree, very hard to capture the correct color with photos.

Very informative! I may be getting obsessed with orange, I had to look twice at the artillery one. Defenitely Hochrot though. This makes it clear how sometimes it's hard to capture true colors.

You're not alone. In the direct lamplight, the Artillerie tries to look orange.

Here's the same Artillerie cap (left) next to an actual orange-piped cap (right). The one I mentioned in your thread. You may have to click to expand the photo and look closely to appreciate the difference since it's tough to capture the true Farbe when taking a photo in indoor lighting.
