This is a nice-looking hat.
I am fearful causing damage by turning up the sweatband. I am open to suggestions.

I personally like the cap but the piping looks faded white so not a cavalry visor which would be yellow and are as rare as hen's teeth. We could use some more close ups of the insignia, piping, velvet and imprint where the sweat shield used to be. I would not turn up the sweatband in that condition.

The skull looks like a nice zinc Deschler model.

The Waffenfarbe on a cavalry visor would be this color

It is a good SS Kleiderkasse white-piped officer by Clemens Wagner....

The piping looked yellow to me but on further inspection and better photos I can tell that it is probably age.

Now that I have seen a good example of a Signal and Calvery Officers cap I see this is yellowed not yellow.

I am getting better at this.
