I've seen a thread here about the C.LOUIS WEBER production (hats and uniforms).

So I know the colored piping visors are a mine field, but this one is known in french collection for years, and I'm perhaps fool enough to show you such a piece in a forum (but This one isn't like others....)

It's possible this could be a long thread......(original or not ?...)

Imo you are right.
But why is the imprint from the sponge not in the center? Why is the marker stamp near the center?
I think you know the answer.

These pictures goes around more ore less 10 years ago. There is no previous discussion about the visor (I know no one) .

For me this particular visor is the one shown in the old french book "LES COIFFURES MILITAIRES DU 3° REICH" from DE FILIPPI.
This exemplar come from an old french collector I knew very well, Mr BOULANGER
