2 Years of Canteens

About two years back now I bought my second canteen, I bought it because it was dated 1936 and I had a 1935. It was about then I decided I wanted to take up the challenge of getting all the dates. As I learned more about canteens that quickly became all dates and all types. That is still the plan, I’ve got a list of about 75 more canteens I’ll need to complete the collection some very rare canteens and some very common ones, it makes for quite the long term goal.

Below is where I’m at now with the collection, not even close to finished. I’ve been very lucky with picking up some rare pieces. The ESB 31 canteen although in terrible condition is still possibly the rarest canteen and rarest item in general I own. Not to mention the boxed canteen, bakelite cups, and the red steel cup.
